Rodeo Rumble (Keyboard Demo)

This is a keyboard-friendly demo of a game meant to be played with a custom-built controller. Check out the controllers in action here.

Rodeo Rumble is an alt controller game made with Michelle Pineda. 

Players each control a stuffed animal horse, where each hoof is a separate button, and the cowboy’s hand holds a 5th button. 

Our goal was to make SERIOUS gamers play horseys with each other and then broadcast how silly it looks by integrating a webcam and projecting player motions onto a big screen. The webcam also helps display the otherwise tiny controllers and tiny motions onto a screen where a crowd could also watch, as Michelle and I are interested in designing games as spectacle.
